Project Musearium Sub Sea Research has long range plans to build a uniquely designed Public Museum and Shipwreck Institute with a very creative approach to the presentation and display of artifacts and marine wildlife as it exists in its natural underwater habitat. It will be a comprehensive public aquarium conservatory, offering a variety of maritime artifact displays and will include a unique sea museum and collection of maritime art and history. The " Musearium " will provide a very diverse and unique environment for the general public, students and scholars -anyone who is interested in mankind's historical and natural relationships with the Earth's last unexplored frontier -the Sea. The Shipwreck Institute of Maine, also known as the " Musearium ", will be located on Maine 's historic coast. This 'in situ' type of wreck exhibit has not yet been offered anywhere else in the world. It will enable divers and non divers alike a 'full immersion', 'people-friendly' environment to actually explore and see what an ancient shipwreck site looks like, before it is excavated. Our exhibits will actively involve the public in actual ongoing operations via real time satellite uplinks to on site shipwreck operations. Bringing together as many inter-related aspects of man's sea faring history, artifacts, art, marine biology, underwater exploration technology and the expansion of our global awareness of Earth's final frontier- the Oceans -into one easily accessible and inviting location. After recent meetings with the Honorable Governor of Maine, where we received enthusiastic endorsement of this project, we are securing an approved historic site location to house the first phase of the Shipwreck Institute and Musearium.
