Greg Brooks and Brian Ryder
will be aboard the MV Diamond leading a convoy of 30 boats
that will visit a dozen communities along the gulf coast. They
will bring water, food and ice to people who haven't received
aid since hurricane katrina came ashore.
They will also be using their underwater equipment to
search the gulf floor for sunken fishing boats and ships.
"We're going to try to get one of our videotographers under
the water and videotape what's happening to the bottom, what's
happening to the marine life, and any other things that are
down there," said researcher Greg Brooks.
Brooks and Ryder are scheduled to be down in the gulf for
two weeks. Most of the supplies they're bringing to the people
affected by the storm have been donated. If you'd like to
help, you can find more information in the FMI section.
